We had a really enjoyable trip with Declan. He was very interesting and informative and would definitely recommend to go with this company.

Must Do in Killarney

This is a must do in Killarney. We were a party of 30+ cousins and partners, the tour by Mike and his brother Tony was locally recommended and it was superb. Mike explained the family history of boating on the lakes anchored by his Dad in years past who is now memorialised in every trip on the lakes. We moved through all 3 lakes from the deepest dark waters to the shallowest of stony bottomed creeks where the boar could almost scratch the bottom. The Ring of Kerry boasts the most beautiful scenery in Ireland but you re-see it through different eyes as you ripple on the water. The tour was a private, personal and peaceful contemplation of nature though I should add that the peace was broken by the sound of story telling and laughter from Mike and the party of cousins and yet the serenity sustained. Stories of the history of the Red deer and the Sika deer, the invasion of the rhododendron and the importance of the manuscript known the Annals of Innisfallen which is 2nd only to the Book of Kells (it was written on the Island of Innisfallen in the Lakes of Killarney but is housed in Oxford - surely time to bring it home), all stories beautifully told. We landed on the Island of Innisfallen and walked in the footsteps of monks hundreds of years ago absorbing the spiritual connection with the past and wondering how in 50 years coming to Killarney we hadn’t previously done this brilliant tour. Our party included my brother who is less mobile than the rest of us due to MS, it was no problem to Mike, their tour is one of inclusiveness and they genuinely cater for all needs.

Fantastic family day out

Went on a recent tour of the lakes with my kids. Mike was our tour guide. One of the best trips we have ever done as a family. Weather was beautiful and we were entertained by our host from start to finish. Nothong was a problem for Mike who was brilliant with the kids. We had a fantastic time and saw all that the lakes have to offer. I would highly recommend this trip. It is a must if you're visiting Killarney. My kids haven't stopped talking about their boat trip and already want to do it again.
