Beautiful fortified city but too touristy and very expensive

Dubrovnik is a wonderful walled city, until everything is fine 👍 where the disappointment begins is that the prices of everything are exorbitant! And this is Croatia's most disappointing welcome! The people of Dubrovnik are aggressive, obsessed with tourists with pockets full of euro.... We paid the express 5 euro, to go up on the ramparts we are asked 40€😡 yes okay for this price you have the Pass, but when on excursion you have only 3 or 4 hours to do everything, with a fairly large number of tourists and queues everywhere 😬 this one did not make any profit at all, in short, we did not enjoy this outing. Luckily Croatia is wonderful in other great places, Croatians are very welcoming in general, and their country is just incredibly beautiful, too bad that tourism rots great places like Dubrovnik 🙏

Great Day Out!

We had a lovely day out. Peter was an excellent guide - made us feel welcome and shared great insight into the history of the region. The coastal views were stunning. Dubrovnik itself was beautiful but crowded. I can't imagine it in the peak of summer. The stop at Konoba Feral Brijesta was wonderful - great scenery, wine and staff! We would have enjoyed having a bit more time there, but made the most of it.

Fantastic day of touring!

We had a great time exploring Dubrovnik. Our tour guide was Ivanka and she was the best guide! She was full of information and was fun to listen to. I was concerned that all of the driving would be tiresome, but we stopped for coffee on the way there and stopped for wine on the way back. This broke up the drive perfectly. Plus the countryside was so beautiful! Dubrovnik was a great city! We had plenty of free time to walk the wall, shop and have a wonderful lunch.

I had a great time on...

I had a great time on this trip. It was a long day and a lot of travelling but it was nice to see a different city. Our guide was really knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts about the city and surrounding areas - during the bus ride and on the guided tour. We then had some free time to discover Old town Dubrovnik which was beautiful but also a very busy place to be.

Wonderful Trip!

Enjoyed the visit to this beautiful place. Our guide Ivanka was awesome, she was lively, friendly and polite. Took care of each and every guest and passionately described the history of Croatia. But our tour was supposed to be with Sugman travels, due to some mix up we were accommodated with Grayline and it turned out to be best.
