Itinerary
Pass by: Beginning our journey from the bustling city of Dublin, we set out on a scenic drive that winds along the picturesque Dublin Bay, offering breathtaking views of the Irish coastline.
As we leave the urban landscape behind, we soon find ourselves immersed in the serene beauty of the Wicklow Mountains, a rugged and enchanting region that has captivated visitors for centuries. Our destination lies within these rolling hills – the renowned Powerscourt Gardens, a horticultural masterpiece that has been recognized as the 3rd most beautiful garden in the world by the prestigious National Geographic magazine.
Just a short drive from the breathtaking Powerscourt Gardens lies the majestic Powerscourt Waterfall. A magnificent, 121-meter tall torrent of water plunging dramatically over the rocky cliffs, surrounded by the verdant, rolling hills of the Wicklow Mountains.
After marveling at the breathtaking Powerscourt Waterfall, your next enchanting destination is the captivating Guinness Lake, also known as Lough Tay, located just a short 20-minute drive away. This picturesque lake is a true gem nestled in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains, offering a serene and picturesque setting that has long captured the imagination of visitors.
Nestled amidst the serene, rolling hills of County Wicklow, Glendalough is a true gem of Ireland’s ancient history and natural splendor. After departing the iconic Guinness Lake, the journey to this hallowed site takes roughly 35 minutes, but the sense of wonder and tranquility that envelops you upon arrival makes the trip well worth it. Glendalough marks the location of Ireland’s first Christian settlement, founded by the revered St. Kevin in the 6th century. Visitors can explore the evocative ruins of St. Kevin’s monastery, including the impressive round tower that stands as a testament to the ingenuity of early Irish architecture.

Memorable experience with Taufiq
The tour was excellent and Taufiq was very knowledgeable, friendly and most accommodating. Wicklow mountain took our breath away. Powerscourt garden and waterfall were scenic and serene. Even the stopover for lunch at Wicklow Heather was a fine choice. Overall, we had a lovely day out as the famed Irish weather held up and stayed welcoming. Highly recommended!!
Amazing day
Amazing opportunity to see “real” Ireland outside of Dublin. Highlight of our trip. So glad we did the day private tour and had the benefit of “white glove” treatment from our incredible tour guide as well as the benefit of the flexibility the private tour provided. Highly recommend. Fantastic tour provider.
