Traveler reviews
Highly recommended- great fun.
45 minute trip up and down the river talking through the history and showing key bridges. Interesting and with plenty of humour. Comfortable trip and really enjoyable.
Liffey laughs!
An excellent trip up and down the Liffey. Connor was a great guide, witty, funny and extremely informative about the river, docks and its history.
Best at last
The river Liffey who knew all of its history. A great way to learn about Ireland and Dublin. U2's first studio.
Must do!
Great way to see and experience the city! Pat and Josh were excellent tour guides! We learned a lot and had fun at the same time!
Interesting, informative, entertaining
It was a lovely and entertaining experience, we were shown an introductory movie and then some of the rooms to explore on our own before the actual tour started, and then a guide in costume greeted us to direct us to the main exhibition. While small, befitting the name, it contained a great lot of artifacts and news clippings and other items of historical value - all donated by Dubliners. The guide named Evan told us of the main points and developments in Irish history, as well as historical figures, all in an artistic and entertaining manner - I believe he's an amateur actor, which did show throughout the tour. At some point, the power in the building went out, but he didn't get lost and still managed to make the tour very interesting and entertaining despite the darker rooms. Afterwards, we were allowed to roam freely and explore some more rooms on the upper floor on our own tempo. All in all, I recommend this museum if you want a concise yet fun and interactive digest of Dublin history
