Traveler reviews
Interactive and fun
Amazing place - love all the interactive areas. So informative - and interesting too.
A fascinating insight
We were with a group and left to wander round at our own pace which was great. An insightful look into the history of Irish emigration over the centuries along with the reasons why, the characters involved and the contributions that they made to their new homes and the world. A superb setting, in an old vaulted whiskey storage cellar, and excellent layout. Well worth the visit.
Ein Muss in Dublin
Very well done modern museum. Fascinating History. What a destiny for millions of irish people
Enjoyable visit with a few reservations
We quite enjoyed the tour, lots of introductory information for visitors. There are a lot of displays with a heavy emphasis on audio visuals, on occasion it didn’t quite hit the mark as the lighting is dark and it was quite difficult to see and hear some of the exhibits. We went on a day when it wasn’t too busy but even then there a lot of queuing and waiting. It’s a great idea and there’s been a lot of investment and even added services like access to a genealogist are a super idea. Overall worth a visit and I’m sure it will evolve over the years.
Interactive, thoughtful, in depth examination of Irish history
The Epic Museum was our family’s favorite experience in Ireland! We stumbled across the brochure at the airport and decided to check it out. The interactive activities kept us all engaged, and the history of Ireland was covered well. It enhanced our other experiences, like Kilmainham Goal, because we went on our first day in Dublin, it also gave us a richer history of Ireland, and in turn, a better understanding of ourselves as descendants of Irish emigrants!
