Extremely Disappointed – Viator Completely Messed Up My Dubai Booking I had booked Viator for my son in 2018 and he had an amazing experience in Dubai. So, we decided to book our recent trip with Viator. However, my recent experience with Viator in Dubai was frustrating enough that others should be aware. I booked a tour through Viator well in advance, received confirmation, and I double checked it before leaving the country. No one showed up to pick us up from the airport, luckily we had the hotel shuttle that took us to our hotel. After reaching the hotel, I was on the phone till the afternoon so that someone from the local tour will contact us. On the day of the activity, however, everything fell apart. The operator had no record of my booking, leaving me stranded and scrambling to figure out what happened. Despite having a confirmed voucher from Viator, the tour provider couldn’t accommodate me until the afternoon, and the entire schedule I planned for the day was ruined. I had to reschedule the morning activity. I had to be on phone every morning to make sure we were getting picked up for our excursions. What made things worse was the lack of timely support. Viator told me that everything is fixed on their end but it was not. I had to make sure I was calling them so that our day will not be ruined. I expect basic reliability from a major booking platform—accurate reservations and sending us the vouchers with the tickets in a timely manner. Unfortunately, Viator failed at both. The customer service has submitted our refund request but who knows when that will be received. Also make sure that the Miracle Garden and Butterfly garden are two separate tickets because we got an issue there as well. While the customer service came on the phone every time I called them, but that doesn't fix the wasted time, the missed experience, or the hassle I had to deal with. I strongly recommend double-checking directly with the local operator before relying on Viator’s confirmations, especially for time-sensitive activities.

I enjoyed the Safari and the day trip to Abu Dhabi. However I have to say that communication was terrible. The only way to communicate with the operator RHA Touring was via WhatsApp, not possible to call and talk to anybody and never shared the itinerary by day in advance. I wanted to plan around free times but was impossible because they never told me what we will.do each day. They also were very unpunctual many days including the pick up to the airport which make me almost miss my flight. So overall the activities were fine but logistics terrible.

They are not responsive, they will not pick your call and when they do, they will not finish all the activities you paid for. You don't get value for money. They told us they are sorry and that they will refund us but they never did and didn't pick our calls again.
