Pass by: This is an interesting cultural district where is possible to find La Chascona museum (Pablo Neruda's house), the entrance of the metropolitan park, funicular and cable car. At night is the main bohemian district of the city with many options of restaurants, bars, clubs and theaters.
From the historical Market of Santiago you will start the immersion in the local life.
Here was located the first Spanish fort that started the conquest of the territory of Chile. The most important buildings of colonial Chile are here.
This is the main catholic cathedral of Chile that is possible to get in to see it's spectacular architecture.
Beautiful building that used to be the official congress before its transfer to Valparaiso.
Santiago's stock exchange
Here start the visit to the civic district. La Moneda is the presidential palace of Chile. In this place the coup occurred in 1973 that started the military dictatorship.
Pass by: Beautiful park with french style which is located the first fine art museum of latin america.
Santiago has many parks and a few ones are very special due they were built over the hill, we call them ''Island hills''. Beside a very nice º360 view of the city it has an interesting history.

City tour of Santiago

Great overview of the city
Enjoyable walking tour. Our guide "Nacho" was very friendly and knowledgeable. The "snack" was a large cheese empanada that was tasty. Be prepared for many flights of stairs.

Great short tour
This is a great tour if the thought of a 10 hour day tour makes you feel sad...we had the pleasure of Steph showing us around, she was knowledgeable, witty and very engaging. Would recommend this tour to anyone that wants a taster of Santiago.
