Mixed feelings: One highlight, the rest unfortunately weak
Unfortunately, there was no communication at all between the organizer and us beforehand. We set an alarm on the off chance and were picked up at 04:15 AM as if by a miracle in the end. The tour started at a place that is nice in itself, where there was a small breakfast – however, we had to pay for the coffee ourselves. Since the guide did not inform us at all, we had no idea what we were supposed to do in the area. In addition, we had bad luck with the weather. Only through our own initiative and a bit of luck did we explore the site on our own and see how beautiful it actually is. In good weather, the view is certainly great, although one felt rather unlovingly handled in the breakfast café. The second stop at the fruit drying farm was completely uninteresting, as there was hardly any information. In the end, you just ended up in a shop to buy dried fruit and other products. The attempt to force perfume imitations on us was particularly negative. The subsequent strawberry farm was also nice, but absolutely nothing special. Here, too, the focus was again only on sales – the strawberries were offered by the kilo. No thanks. The last place, however, was a real highlight and very beautiful: a cute café on a high hill with a great view of the city. This stop is definitely recommended, and a coffee was even included here. Overall, the excursion was still very disappointing and seemed inauthentic. You can definitely skip the two stops in between.
Never showed up
Never showed up to the pickup point, walked to their office to make sure there wasn’t a communication error, lights were off and door was locked
Rain the whole time
The Tour guide was very nice and helpful. But unfortunately it was raining the whole time.
Doesn’t match the description
The cloud hunting area was beautiful, but in the description it seemed more like a hike or vigorous walk to a beautiful peaceful overlook. Instead it was a packed mess hall playing music at top volume at 5 am. From there you’re given an hour to just take photos. You’ll have to compete at every view with 100s of other tourists who are dressed in booty shorts and fur boots to maximize their influencer potential. The rest of the visit just felt like we were being driven from one gift shop to the next.
The first stop at the...
The first stop at the sunrise point was surely the best one. We had plenty of time to watch all the colours of the sunrise and take some pretty pictures. You also get a simple breakfast there for free. The strawberry farm and the apricot farm were fine but the last stop felt pretty much unnecessary and I strongly felt it was there just to make the trip longer. However, our guide Tram was great and I loved her energy.
