Departing from Honfleur Cruise Port, this Normandy small group full day private shore excursion will take you to the breathtaking Versailles Palace.

Pick up at your Cruise Ship in Honfleur

At first we will come and pick you up at your Cruise Ship in Honfleur. Your driver will be waiting for you outside the terminal with a sign bearing the lead travelers name. You will then be taken to your premium A/C private vehicle where it will be time for presentations and a recap of your Versailles full day trip to come.

Your drive to Versailles from Honfleur Cruise Port is of about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Of course it will be possible to stop on the way for a small break. Please note that all our vehicles are equipped with an internal P/A system that allows the driver to make commentaries during driving time. All our vehicles are also equipped with wi-fi so that you will be able to catch up with family and friends during this time.

Arrive at Versailles Palace

Reach Versailles after your driving time. Listed as a UNESCO world heritage site since 1979 , the Palace of Versailles is one of the finest architectural treasures of France. Residence of the French Monarchy from Louis XIV to Louis XVI, the Chateau de Versailles has been transformed over the centuries from a small hunting lodge built by Louis XIII to one of the most extravagant palaces wanted by his son Louis XIV.

Upon arrival you will be taken by your private guide to the entrance where your visit of the Palace will begin. Please note that we do not include any tickets on the day of the tour. You must purchase your entrance tickets during the booking process as there are many different options of visit available.

Depending on the tickets that you will have bought, your tour will include the visit of the main features of the Palace such as the Hall of Mirrors and the Petit Trianon building or you can purchase tickets that will allow a more in depth visit including guided tours to the King’s and the Queen’s State Apartments. If you are uncertain of which ticket to purchase don't hesitate to contact us and one of our travel advisors will be happy to suggest the best possible option

After the visit, return to Honfleur port of call and drop off at your ship. This private tour can accommodate a maximum of 8 persons per minivan. Pascal was, above all, a smiling whirlwind of energy from the very start — bursting with knowledge, passion, and just the right amount of dramatic flair. He painted the horror of the Omaha Beach invasion so vividly that we could practically hear the chaos, then marched us through the bunkers at Pointe du Hoc like we were on a mission ourselves. Our Normandy D-Day tour was well worth it and we so enjoyed our tour guide Matt. He made the tour engaging, entertaining and informative. The tour was just the right size and a half day was perfect for us. It would have been much harder to get around to the sites and understand each without the information that Matt was constantly sharing. There was hardly a time that Matt was not telling us what/how/when of what we were looking at. Thanks Matt!
