Itinerary
This tour takes you through some of the most beautiful countryside in England. After the University City of Oxford, you will visit the village of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace (Churchill's birthplace) with its beautiful lake. The heart of the Cotswolds is nearby with a variety of picturesque villages including Stow-on-the-Wold, Upper and Lower Slaughter and Bourton-on-the-Water to see.
Home to England’s oldest and most famous University, the City of Dreaming Spires attracts visitors from all parts of the world. Visit a historic pub, the magnificent Ashmolean Museum or one of the many fascinating colleges.
Blenheim’s grounds, with a jewel of a lake, are a delight for all the family with their miniature railway, children’s play space, butterfly house and acres of flowering shrubs and trees providing lush picnic areas. The palace is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and the historic home of his aunt, American heiress Consuelo Vanderbilt, who married the 8th Duke in 1875. See family photographs and articles belonging to Sir Winston in a special display devoted to Britain’s greatest statesman and then, if you wish, pay your respects at his grave in the tiny neighbouring village of Bladon.

Traveler reviews
There is no guide on this trip!
There is no guide on this trip. Our driver, while a very nice man, did not know where to take us. He wanted us to tell him where to drive!
Driver was lovely but tour was not as promised
When I booked Blenheim place tour it was with a guide(we got a driver who was not a guide) then we were told it did not include tickets to the palace. Sent us to another website to buy them for $250 but the palace didn’t recognize them. Had to purchase more tickets ATthe palace for aniother $230. You need to refund me the first $250. Beautiful day with no set schedule!
We had a great day exploring Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds at our own pace. Highly recommend if you want a day away from the city!!!
Great Tour, Fantastic Guide (Ahmed)
To start, our guide, Ahmed, was amazing! Super knowledgeable about English and world history, he helped bring this tour to life. Took us to all the hot spots, and tailored the tour around what WE wanted. Only low point of this tour is how busy, crowded and over commercialized these quaint villages have become (thanks to the Internet and social media)—sad in some respects. Still, I heartily recommend this tour (and especially Ahmed) to anyone. You’ll be glad you took this.
Awful , do not book!
There was no guide, just a driver, and after visiting the first attraction in the " tour" and spending there one hour less than we were supposed to spend, we were told that we didn't have enough time to finish our tour, that it was either returning to London, or paying £50/hour in cash, for as long as it took us to visit the other two attractions in the program and return to London. This was not a cheap "tour". It had already cost us around twice the price of the pre-made tours, but we wanted to see everything in one day, and we thought this tour would allow us to do ir. Tripadvisor should do something about this. As you can see in the photos below it says stop at Blenheim palace 3 hours. We spent only two, and the rest is history.
