St. Patrick's Street, known to locals as 'Pana' is the main shopping boulevard. It has a fascinating history including the Burning of Cork which took place in 1920. Hear the whole story!
The oldest food market in Ireland, dating from 1788; this is still the best loved shopping experience in Cork. From cheeses to olives and even tripe and drisheen, the English Market is a world of wonder for foodies
Pass by: A magnificent cathedral deigned by architect William Burgess. It has a Gothic design similar to Notre Dame. See the famous angel who it is said will play her trumpet on the 'Last Day' to alert Corkonians to get into heaven!
The old Corn Market and Coal Quay of Cork. The Corn Market dates from the 1720s and is one of the oldest buildings in the city. It also has the city crest of Cork, 1st used in 1458 and still in every day use today.
Pass by: A tribute to Rory Gallagher, one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Jimi Hendrix said he was the 'greatest guitarist in the world'!
Pass by: See the vintage and second hand shops that abound in Cork for a great and unusual array of clothing, books and all sorts of everything.
When the city was first built it was fully walled. In Bishop Lucey Park you can see the remnants of the old city wall dating from the 12th Century.

Cork walking tour with Neasa
Neasa was amazing. She knows so much about Cork and its history. Great walking tour. I would highly recommend her! We learned so much that we would have never known on our own.
Cork city I deoth
Our guide Neasa was full of personality and knowledge. If you want to enjoy and learn about Cork City and its interesting history then she is an exceptional guide to request. I will recommend all my family and friends to use Neasa.
A Lovely, Interesting Tour of Cork
Cork is a lovely, interesting city. Neasa, our local guide, clearly loves showing folks around her beloved Cork. We showed up on a Sunday, and even though some locations were closed (the English Market), Neasa brought these spots alive. She has a wealth of knowledge and an ability to point out even the smallest details that would have been missed had we not hired her for the tour. Overall, this was one of our favorite walking tours that we booked while visiting Ireland.
