Full description

When guests arrive at the meeting point, they will be welcomed by our resident marine biologist and given a short introduction to the experience ahead. The activity begins with a relaxed, informative briefing on the coral reef ecosystem in Mauritius, highlighting key local species and the threats reefs are currently facing. Guests will learn how to identify various corals and fish, as well as the restoration techniques we’re using to protect and revive these habitats.

Following the briefing, the group will board a boat and head out to a nearby shallow reef site selected for its biodiversity and visibility. Once in the water, the marine biologist will guide the snorkel, helping guests spot and interpret the species they studied earlier—such as butterflyfish, parrotfish, and living coral formations. The excursion is interactive, with guests encouraged to ask questions and engage with the environment.

After the snorkel, everyone returns to shore for a short debrief, where the biologist shares insights into the importance of reef health and how guests can contribute to ocean conservation. The experience ends with a renewed appreciation for Mauritius’ marine life and a deeper understanding of our conservation mission.

A guia Mariana foi muito simpática e instrutiva. O tour passa pelos principais pontos relevantes do centro de San José. A comida servida no final do tour é o ponto alto. Poderiam cobrar um pouco menos para termos um melhor custo benefício aqui. Mesmo assim vale a pena, pois andar por conta própria no centro de San José pode ser perigoso.
