Full description

Join the most complete Gaudí tour on the market exploring all of the architect's most famous works in Barcelona. Step inside Casa Batlló on our morning tour or Casa Vicens on the afternoon tour. Stop at Casa Milà along with others for a snapshot of his celebrated style. Skip the line at Park Güell and enjoy a tour of the iconic La Sagrada Familia in the company of an expert local.

Take a step into the world of Antoni Gaudí.
The name Gaudí is synonymous with Barcelona. The city’s favorite architect (and maybe its favorite son, if you discount the celebrated soccer players) has come to embody the style and joie de vivre of a city deeply rooted in its natural surroundings. This is Barcelona at its vibrant, playful best.

On this walking tour, the most complete tour available of Gaudí’s work, we visit one of his residential works; skip long lines to wander beautiful Park Güell; and, of course, embark on a thorough exploration of Gaudí’s greatest work and final resting place, La Sagrada Familia. With a carefully planned itinerary utilizing walking, public transportation, and a private transfer between the last two stops, you’ll cover more ground than would be possible in a whole day on your own.

The tour starts at Casa Batlló,  arguably Gaudí’s most impressive residential property (and certainly his most-visited). If you're joining our morning tour, you'll have tickets to the 9 AM entry. Discover some of the genius solutions Gaudí employed to solve architectural problems throughout the house, dispersing light and air throughout its many levels. A highlight is the roof, designed to resemble the scales of a dragon – the great emblem of Barcelona.

The best thing about Gaudí was that his work constantly changed and adapted to the styles and materials of the time. You’ll see this clearly on our next stop outside of the Casa Milà (La Pedrera), characterized by varied skills of this incomparable genius.

Then it is on to skip the line at Park Güell, one part fanciful explosion of color, one part thoughtful study of organic forms - a perfect reflection of the natural world that surrounds. Your guide will entice you with its many features - its functionality, secret drainage system, visual illusions, and ergonomically perfect benches. We will also pause in front of the absolute best vantage point in Barcelona. Hop aboard a private bus for a short transfer between the park and your last stop of the day.

Your tour ends as Gaudí himself did – in La Sagrada Familia. It can be hard to know where to look on your first visit to La Sagrada Familia, so it’s lucky you have a Gaudí expert on hand to guide your experience. In the final years of the architect’s life he abandoned all other projects, and much of his life in general, to work on this magnificent and completely unique church. He even went door to door collecting donations and moved into its basement so he could work around the clock. It’s an incredible representation of everything that made him such a unique talent – so much detail and symbolism, blending the natural and human world together in a riot of colors, shapes, and characters. You’ll spend a full hour exploring the church itself, from its detailed façade to the stained glass windows inside.

If you're joining our afternoon tour, your first stops are outside Casa Batlló and Casa Milà for an introduction to the buildings from your guide. Hop on the metro with your guide for a short ride to the colorful Casa Vicens. At this time of day, the house won't be crowded and you'll get to see it up close in without a swarm of other tourists. Wander through the very first house Gaudí designed and jumpstarted his career. Then, you'll  walk over to Park Güell, taking in the breathtaking views, before boarding a private minibus to La Sagrada Familia. You'll enjoy a one hour guided tour of this major monument to finish your epic day of sightseeing.

No matter whether you choose the morning or afternoon tour, you'll enjoy a comprehensive day covering four different neighborhoods in Barcelona. Get ready to walk (a lot!) and take in the fascinating stories of how one man defined a city. Due to the popularity of Gaudí and his works, we’ll find long lines outside all three of the sites we enter, but with pre-reserved entrance to each, we’ll sail straight inside. In just half a day, you'll have witnessed the greatest Gaudí masterpieces in Barcelona.

If you’re reading this, book it now! You’ll be one of the first on the boat and get the best spot before anyone else. Daniela (aka “Daniel”) treated us exceptionally well from start to finish. Her knowledge of the falls and the stories behind them was the perfect balance of informative and entertaining. She keeps you laughing throughout the tour and enjoys the experience right alongside you as if it were her first time seeing it. 10/10 — I would recommend this tour to anyone. As an added bonus, our group had only four people, which made the experience absolutely incredible and much more personal. Thanks again, Daniel! 😉
