Overall incredible experience, we saw whales turtles, a bunch of fish. Lexi and jack were amazing and very fun to hang with. Would recommend to all my friends and will be back again!

Stunning sunset sail with fireworks!

My husband and I took the sunset sail on a Friday night as that’s the night with fireworks. It was absolutely beautiful! The crew was friendly and we felt very comfortable. Captain Jack was hilarious and made the trip fun. Well worth the money and such a wonderful experience!

Fun experience

Great team of employees. Very educated about marine life, passionate about their jobs, and warm in their interactions. Saw a lot of whale action and enjoyed the vibe of the experience.

Relaxing Cruise, Great Crew, and Whales!

Such a relaxing boat cruise with plenty of sunshine and fun music. Joe with the Flow was very knowledgeable of marine wildlife and you could tell the entire crew loved what they did. Also…we saw whales!!! Icing on the cake.

Three Tikis and the crew know where to look for whales for a fun experience!

Captain “Art”, didn’t catch his name was a consummate professional and played reggae on the speaker. The Cap’s sidekicks Frick and Frack, were very fun and entertaining. We went out for a smooth ride and saw pods of dolphins, couple humpback sightings, some flying fish, and sea turtles! It was a fun trimaran ride over a bigger boat. This was intimate and really great views. Highly recommend Three Tikis and this crew! Also, highly recommend getting an anti-nausea patch just in case.

A mama and baby whale and a great crew!

We loved our whale watching sail in Honolulu. We were able to see a Mama and her baby calf! Exciting! The crew was wonderful and provided a great experience!

Great small group tour

Loved the small group and the crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. They even offered to take pictures of the people traveling together. Spotted a few spouts and whale backs thanks to their eyes.

Clean boat, friendly crew, and we were lucky enough to see a few whales! If you sit in the front you have to be okay with being in the splash zone.

So from what I was told by the team at Three Tiki Sailing, this was not a normal whale watching trip. I honestly had no idea what to expect and I thought I would see a fin or a whale blow air a few times. What happened blew me away and everyone on the boat. So there was a female we found and she was in a good mood. About 20 minutes in we were on the look out and out of nowhere this girl whips her tail fin out about 150 feet away from the boat. I was like, wow!! That was worth the trip then she decided to breach about 20 minutes later. What was going on here!? Well, we came to find that she was being chased, courted, cat called… whatever by not one, but two males. So for the remainder of the trip it was her and the boys flirting by jumping, slapping their tail fins, and breaches (like 8 times), just as you would see on National Geographic. It was a once in a lifetime experience that my wife and I will never forget. The staff were top notch, great customer service and very friendly. I highly recommend using these guys for your trip. I can’t wait to come back and watch again.

Not What We Expected

This tour was pretty disappointing. We did see one group of whales, but instead of sticking around like the other boats, our captain turned away. After that, we just floated in the harbor, spinning in circles for over an hour. On top of that, we left late and came back early, cutting even more time off the experience. If you’re hoping for an exciting whale watch, this isn’t it. It felt more like a slow harbor ride with a quick glimpse of whales. Definitely not what we paid for.

Fantastic experience!

Our experience was as advertised in previous reviews. The 3 person crew was polite and cheerful and generous with their time and expertise. They milled about amongst the attendees and made small talk as well as informative commentary about what we were seeing out on the ocean as well as along the shoreline. We felt safe, valued and well tended the entire 2 hours. We saw whales as well as flying fish being chased by tuna and sea turtles. I would, without hesitation, use them again.

Fun sail and snorkel. Crew was really nice. They watched for turtles and pointed the way for us to go to see them. 2 hours total, out to back. We saw 2 turtles and a lot of fish. Met just down the dock from Ilikai hotel.

If you love sea turtles, go!

A warm, welcoming, professional crew led us on a really interesting adventure. Their goal to ensure passengers had a great time while protecting sea turtles was met! The sailing vessel was comfortable and our cruise around the sea could not have been more pleasant.

Disappointing “Whale Watch” – More Like a Harbor Cruise

This was not the whale-watching experience we expected. We saw one set of whales, but instead of following them like the other tours, our captain turned the boat around. After that, we spent over an hour aimlessly spinning in the harbor. To make matters worse, we started 10 minutes late and returned 10 minutes early—so much for maximizing our time on the water. If you’re looking for a true whale-watching adventure, this isn’t it. It felt more like a slow harbor cruise with a brief glimpse of whales. Definitely not worth the cost.

Great company! Great tour!

Crew very friendly and helpful. Boat extremely clean. Crew pointed out whales and flying fish and turtle. Boat appeared to be nearly sold out, but there was enough room. Crew checked in with passengers to make sure no one was getting sick. A very enjoyable trip for everyone! Can't recommend enough!
