We begin our tour at the San Javier Metro station, the gateway to Commune 13. From this point, you will appreciate the transformation that this neighborhood has experienced in recent years. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world full of colour, art and culture.
We ascend the iconic escalators, a symbol of the connection between the different parts of the commune. As we climb, our guide will tell you the story of how these stairs have improved the lives of the inhabitants and contributed to the revitalization of the neighborhood.
We enter a maze of streets adorned with impressive murals. Every work of art tells a story, from social struggle to hope and transformation. Our guides will reveal the meanings behind these creations and invite you to appreciate the creativity of the local artists.
We will visit a cultural center and library, spaces that promote education and community development. Here you can learn about the social projects that take place in the commune and enjoy art exhibitions and cultural events.
From this viewpoint, we will have a panoramic view of the commune and the city of Medellin. You will appreciate the beauty of the cityscape and understand the strategic location of the commune.
We board the Metrocable, a transport system that has revolutionized mobility in Medellin. From the heights, we will enjoy a unique view of the city and the transformation of the commune.
We finish our tour at Parque Biblioteca San Javier, a public space that offers a wide range of cultural and educational services. Here you can relax, enjoy nature and immerse yourself in an environment of learning and creativity.

Comuna 13
On February 11, 2026 I had a guided tour with Pablo, I had a very good time, I received a lot of detailed information and all questions were answered. Thanks to Pablo, I learned a lot and understood the complicated historical and current situation well. Pablo was very friendly, helpful and very well informed.
Good experience with some bumpers
I have been surprised because I did the tour alone. The guide came late and left me alone on the bus, but after that bumpy start he did a great job and gave me a good experience of Communa 13. His English was ok but not great. I enjoyed the tour.
Best tour in Medellín with Melina
Melina was spectacular! PLEASE take this tour with her if you are in Medellín! She showed us everything about the history and the current news of the city! We felt totally SAFE with her which is another important aspect of Medellín. She took us extremely interesting places, to local events and performances, we tasted delicious food and could try and learn about the very best Colombian coffee. Loved every inch of this guided tour! Thank you so much Melina! It was a blessing! 🙏🏼
