Full description

Why Take This Tour?  Most visitors look at the Colosseum. You’ll enter it like a gladiator. Through the original Gladiator’s Gate, you’ll step onto the Arena Floor where thousands once fought for survival and glory.
This is the Colosseum from the center of the action—an exclusive, immersive experience that connects you to the fear, thrill, and spectacle of ancient Rome. With exclusive Arena Floor access and an expert historian by your side, you'll go far beyond standard sightseeing.

Then, walk in the footsteps of emperors through the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, uncovering temples, Senate chambers, and palaces where Western civilization was born.
Walk Through the Gladiator’s Gate  Begin where few visitors ever go: through the Gladiator’s Gate, once used by the warriors who faced roaring crowds and certain danger. As you step onto the Arena Floor, you’ll see the Colosseum from their point of view—surrounded by rising tiers, shadows of spectators, and stories of survival.

Explore Every Angle of the Colosseum  Next, climb to the first and second levels where your guide will share the engineering secrets, myths, and games that made the Colosseum ancient Rome’s main stage for politics, punishment, and public entertainment.

Roam the Forum and Palatine Hill  Step into the Roman Forum, where temples, basilicas, and memorials mark the heart of Roman power. See the Temple of Julius Caesar, the Arch of Titus, and more. Then ascend Palatine Hill, birthplace of the Eternal City and home to the opulent palaces of Rome’s emperors.

In a place where every stone has a story—let Walks of Italy bring them to life.

Get a gladiator's view of the Colosseum from the arena floor on this special access tour.  Step away from the crowds on this in-depth Colosseum arena floor tour, complete with access to areas off-limits to most ticket holders. Walk in the footsteps of gladiators and emperors as your insightful guide demystifies the Colosseum itself, as well as the nearby Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, through engaging stories that will help you see these ancient structures in a new light.
