Itinerary
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s no wonder it draws endless visitors. Not only that, but it truly is also a specular feat of engineering and a stunning example of Gothic architecture, from its spires to its stained-glass windows, its crypt to the shrine of St. Thomas Becket.
Dating back to the 11th century, Dover Castle was constructed by none other than William the Conqueror. Over the centuries, it was expanded and fortified, becoming one of the most formidable strongholds in all of England. Today it’s frequented by visitors and film crews – you may recognise it from films such as Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses (2016). You’ll have several hours here to explore all the secrets and history this castle is home to.
Striking and iconic, these white cliffs are well-known around the world. Throughout history, the cliffs have acted as both a natural fortification for the English coastline and as a symbolic welcome to travellers arriving by sea.

Delightful small group tour
We ended up being the only people who signed up for our tour date, so we got an amazing personal experience! It was wonderful to visit all of the different sights along the tour, and Graham made the journey enjoyable with stories, history, and recommendations of the best spots to check out. This was our 3rd trip with Rabbie’s, and we can’t recommend them enough! They are the best small group tour company, hands down.
We really loved the tour,...
We really loved the tour, although having a little more time at the White Cliffs would have been nice, but it depends on the weather. Dover Castle was amazing!
Dover
Mark was an excellent tour guide. I enjoyed the personal touch. The day was beautiful and the sights amazing.
Graham Best Tour Guide from Rabbie's
We took the Rabbie's Tour to Oxford and the Cotswolds in rural England on May 2, 2026. Graham was our tour guide. He gave lots of history on the the area. He was the best. He talked about artists from the UK region. He had some good jokes as well. Five stars to Graham and Rabbie's Tours.
A great day
We love Rabbie's trips. The driver Francis kept us entertained and gave us lots of interesting information. The only negative was the time at the cliffs was too short. By the time I got up the hill, I only had time to snap a few pics and hurry back. I easily could have spent an hour at the top. Dover castle was a longer stop but I couldn't do stairs, so that limited my options. We did have a lovely cream tea and scone in the Cafe. I'd love to see them offer some slower day trips geared for seniors or those with limited mobility.
