A wonderful mini break in beautiful surroundings

We stayed overnight in the beautiful Courtyard suite which gave us after hours a cess to the wonderful gardens on the evening of our arrival and access again on the morning of our departure. We had a wonderful time. The staff in every part of the estate are friendly and helpful and efficient. The food in the Stables restaurant is superb and so fresh and the Foxford shop is a great temptation! 10 out of 10 for a fabulous mini break. Thanks Mount Congreve. Take a bow

An unforgettable weekend at Mount Congreve

My family and I had the most wonderful weekend at Mount Congreve. We stayed at the Rowan Gate Lodge with our baby daughter and our dog. The gate lodge is so beautifully refurbished and has everything you need for a home away from home. It was so quiet and peaceful, it rained a lot during our stay which only added to the magic. The after hours access to the gardens was my favourite, we were the only ones in there at the time and it honestly felt like we were in a movie. We ate at the Stables cafe during our stay and really enjoyed our meals there. The staff we met during our stay were so lovely. We are already dreaming about our next stay. Thank you for everything!

Great place to visit for a couple of days

Stayed in one of the gate lodges and explored the gardens and house from there. Wonderful weekend, Lodge was superb and gardens magnificent

Disappointed

The woodland garden was fantastic. The walled garden was a huge disappointment. Expecting waves of herbaceous perennials in flower in June but just faced with abandoned beds full of weeds. Nothing in restored greenhouse. Not particularly bike friendly for coming from Greenway. Recent investment appears to have been poured into new high end restaurant and shop.

May in the garden is lovely

During a chilly mid-May, do not expect the walled garden to be flush with blooms. However, the woodland garden was vibrant with azaleas and rhododendrons. At this time of year there were fewer visitors, leading to a lovely and tranquil exploration of the garden.
