Awesome
My niece really wanted to visit Texas for her 9th birthday. So being the uncle I am went scoop her up from Mississippi from Louisiana and then to Texas we went. I booked this for us to do along with the discovery green pumpkin festival! This was definitely a great place to get out the sun and cool down along with have some fun with the kid(s)! It was really neat to see everything they can do and participate in. Really neat place and will definitely be going again. Whether it’s the location in my town or back to Houston. :)
If You Have Kids/Grandkids, You Should Definitely Go Here!
We almost didn't go here. The website doesn't do it justice. We thought it was more for really little kids, but we were wrong. Our 3 grandkids ages 8, 10 and 12 loved it! With 3 floors, there was so much to see and do! In fact, we ended up going back a second day because we hadn't seen everything, and the kids wanted to do some things over again. I think we ended up spending close to 8 hours there over the 2 days! There is something for every child. My grandsons loved the ATM system the best. There were several machines in the Kidtropolis area where there were tons of plastic credit card-like devices that could put pretend "money" into your account and also withdraw "money". What a clever thing that actually kept track of the "money" in your account!
Timing is crucial
Timing is imperative. Numerous, large groups of unaccompanied and unsupervised children made visit unpleasant.
Fun experience at The Children's Museum
What a blast!!! My family and grandchildren had a wonderful time at the Children's Museum in Houston. Lots of different areas for experiments, hands on learning everywhere from baby area to big kids and water play areas and everything in between. Parking was easy with QR code and is easy to sign up for cashless parking. Staff were excellent and very helpful. This is an amazing Museum that keeps the kiddos entertained the whole day!
Wonderful Place
This place is amazing! So many cool things for our older and younger kiddos. Tricky when it’s crowded. There were activities that we would have really explored but there were so many other children it was hard to finish a project. We were there with two busloads of kids so when we saw that outside we knew it would be crowded. It’s tricky to navigate through the museum when it’s that crowded. All in all we would go back in a heartbeat!
