Tuscany tasting
Our guide was great and the whole experience was really enjoyable. We did not care for the 1st winery tasting. The wine was fine but the building we were in had black mold all over the walls. The 2nd winery was great. The food was delicious, and the winery host was very fun and energetic. The only thing we wished we could have done a little more of was walk the grounds because it’s so pretty there. Overall a really nice tour.
Excellent Tour and Tasting Experience!
If you love wine and have longed to sip it under the Tuscan sun, this is for you! It’s kind of long, a full seven hours, so be prepared to spend an entire day. We began at our meeting point and boarded a lovely coach bus. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us info the whole way up to Chianti. At the 1st winery, we met with a guide who shows us how the wine was made the took us to the tasting room where he had prepared lovely snack of crostinis, cheese and bruschetta to pair with the three wines we tasted. After that we headed to the beautiful quaint town of Greve in Chianti where we explored the shops and an amazing salumeria and cheese cellar. Then it was on to the 3rd stop which was the 2nd winery. We got a brief history of the town and winery and then were led to a beautifully set long table among the grape vines under bistro lights where we were served a 3 course meal and tasted FIVE wines. The server was not shy about refills also as we enjoyed our dinner. As the sun set, we retired to the indoor part of the winery where we tasted a dessert wine and nibbled on our biscotti before heading back down the mountain to Florence. The only bad thing I can say is that the meeting point area was a little sketch by a bus station and there were no taxis when we got back around 10:00pm so I suggest a rideshare back to your hotel. We walked back to our hotel. It wasn’t terrible, but not the best. Happy travels!!
Delicious
This was a great wine experience. Theresa did a fantastic job entertaining the group (in both English and Spanish) and the wineries did not disappoint. We really loved the intimacy and history given at the first location. The dinner at the second winery was sooooooo good I thought I would explode. Turns out I'm obsessed with truffle oil 🤤 The only part I could have done without is the small town stopover between tastings
Fabulous experience, well worth taking the time to do
Fantastic afternoon / Evening, we called in At the first where we had a little tour of where they made the wine, then we sat and had a taste of 3 lovely wines and amazing Olive Oil, the lady showing us round tought us a lot about wine and how to make it, which was very good. We then went on to look round a cute little village for 45 minutes and then onto the final reserve where we sat next to the vines and had a lovely 2 course meal and a try of 6 wines which were amazing. The other people on the tour were great, we had such a laugh whilst having the food, it was great getting to know them. All in all, it was very well run, we had great food, even better wine and got to meet some great people. Thanks!
Great Tuscany Experience
Cecilia and Jean Luca gave us a great tour of a winery and vineyard dinner. The tour was well planned and great for an afternoon and evening in Tuscany.
