Great Guide and Spectacular Views!
We had an amazing hiking and sightseeing experience on this trip. Our expert guide Chris was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable about the area, the mountains and glaciers, and the trail itself. It was extremely helpful to have him guiding us throughout the whole experience. He went above and beyond. This is a good tour to choose if you want to fit a lot of the Chamonix-Mont Blanc activities into one day, with a bit more outdoorsy experience. We rode the bus with another Keytours group, and met our guide once we reached Chamonix. We opted to do the cable car trip to Aiguille du Midi so were able to spend a little time up there before heading back down to Plan de l’Aiguille where we started hiking. The mountain views were spectacular on the entire length of the trail. The hike was at a comfortable pace with rolling ups and downs but no major elevation gain, and took a little under 3 hrs with a couple breaks. We ended the hike at the Mer de Glace and still had plenty of time to take the cable car down to the glacier cave and walk into the glacier. We then took the mountain train back down to Chamonix and had a little time left to walk around town. Make sure to pack lunch, sun protection, and plenty of water.
