Itinerary

1

Pass by: Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in the centre of Bariloche and head towards Guttierrez and Mascardi Lakes. Driving along their shores, we will then take a dirt road to get to Cerro Tronador, where the journey really will start.

Admission: NOT_APPLICABLE
2

Pass by: Ride the coach a bit further to reach Cerro Tronador, the tallest mountain in the Lake District at 11,500 feet (3,500 meters). Home to seven glaciers, it was so named for the thunderous sound that ice chunks frequently make falling from the glaciers' faces. View Cerro Tronador's three peaks — Pico Chileno, Pico Argentino and Pico Internacional — while taking a short walk into the woods with your guide to view the glaciers.

3

Pass by: Climb back on the coach and continue along Mascardi Lake and across the popular white-water rafting destination, the Manso River. Stop in Pampa Linda, in the shadow of Cerrro Tronador, for lunch (own expense). Continue your coach journey through a forest of native lenga and coihue trees in the Vuriloches Valley until you reach the Ventisquero Negro (Black Snowdrift) glacier. Afterwards, we will get back on the vehicle and we will take you back to Bariloche.

It’s ok

Well, all good. Nice view and interesting information. However, a bit boring for whoever needs more activities not only taking a photo

Cerro Tronador circuit

Incredible day under a beautiful sun and with the colors of autumn! I would definitely recommend this tour with stopping points with a great view!

Lousy attitude of the guide Claudius. I don't recommend it.

Dismal attention and guiding attitude Claudio. He was first late for the meeting point without warning. The worst part is that near the confectionery there was a trail “following the one closed by the forest ranger” when the tour I paid for said “optional hike”. The forest ranger said the trail was free and we climbed a few meters along with more tourists from other groups, including our own. Upon returning to the meeting point the guide behaved too rude and ordinary almost with offenses made us apologize to the whole group. I don't think he's ready for what he does. It lacks a little empathy and tolerance to handle groups of tourists. Since we're not perfect and you can sometimes make a mistake. I do not recommend it and the only thing that was worth it are the beautiful landscapes. Cheers!
