Full description

From humble beginnings, a succession of dreamers and doers have diversified and refined Cascade from a mill by a stream to a fountain in the foothills, quenching the thirst of generations. Though long since gone, these custodians have left their marks upon the site. Stand where they stood and see what they saw. Join us as we unbottle our past and tap a tale or two of this iconic Tasmanian institution.

Worth going !

Tour guide was so interesting, loved hearing all the history. The gardens at the end are beautiful with water features and birdlife. Handy ending at the restaurant and having a Cascade after

Cascade is not to be missed when visiting Hobart!

This place is a must visit when in Hobart. The beer garden is absolutely stunning and taking the history tour beforehand really let you appreciate the very land (owned by some very interesting people) you are on enjoying a beer. So fascinating! Definitely come here and definitely take this tour. You won't regret it!

Excellent historic tour

We thoroughly enjoyed the historic tour. It was informative and well thought out. We then had some beers in the garden which were great! Highly recommend this tour.

Shady deals exposed in beer history

Very organised succinct tour. Our guide JD started on time. The pace was perfect both in steps and speech covered a lot of ground both figuratively and time. It was very interesting Jd had a few funny anecdotes the pictures shown were good and he knew the answers to questing asked. It was just the right length of time. Thank you would recommend to those interested in history and the history of both beer and hobart.
