We wanted to do a few...
We wanted to do a few specific things during our time in Casablanca. 1) See the spice market. 2) Go into a souk with the guide. We didn't get to do either of these things. Our guide told us it wasn't safe for us as tourists and he could drop us off but think it was a good idea, didn't recommend it, and ultimately wouldn't do it. He took us to a store that sold packaged spices that were very overpriced and the owner did some shady tourist games. We didn't appreciate that. We live in South America. We know how to be smart and aware. We have fish markets and old buildings and beaches. That was not at all what we were wanting to see. While our driver was very nice, polite, and professional, we were quite disappointed that he couldn't/wouldn't/didn't take us to see/do what we wanted to do.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience exploring Casablanca with Salah. His local knowledge is exceptional, and he brought the city to life with fascinating insights into Moroccan culture, history, and everyday life. Salah has a wonderful way of sharing stories that make everything feel meaningful and engaging — not just facts, but real context that helped us truly understand what we were seeing. He was warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating throughout the tour. The entire experience felt thoughtfully curated and very well-paced, allowing us to see the highlights while also discovering hidden gems we never would have found on our own. It was clear how much pride Salah takes in showcasing his city. We thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Casablanca — it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Salah is amazing. Such a smart and happy man. He made our trip so memorable and we really enjoyed the tour of Casablanca. Can really recommend him to any couples travelling to morocco.
Wonderful day
We had booked a car to take us around Casablanca. I am traveling with my dad who walks really slow and so we wanted a private car. Hamid was our driver and he was very nice, very punctual, speaks good English. He picked us up from the train station. We went to the Hasan 2 mosque for a tour, then went to La Corniche, Marina, Ricks Cafe, UN plaza and finally lunch in the new part of the town. With the traffic in Casa and the distances, it is well worth booking a car for a few hours.
