Cappadocia balloon ride
We booked up with Royal Balloon through our hotel in Uchisar and from the start the process was smooth. The bus was on time and we were well looked after. We were introduced to our pilot Kemal (Sölyer, there are two Kemals) who was friendly yet professional and did an excellent job explaining how the ride was going to proceed. The balloon ride itself was all we could have hoped for and more. The views are stunning and Kemal's skill piloting was clear as we dropped down into Pigeon Valley and then soared back up over Uchisar to land in the fields to the west of the town. He even landed it straight onto the trailer which was mind-boggling! The company then treated up to champagne and strawberries and a medal as a memento. The video and photos at €30 is reasonable compared to some equivalent arrangements. Bring cash for this if you're interested as there's no card facility on board. Overall, well worth the substantial cost for a once in a lifetime experience.
