Traveler reviews
Wonderful !
I really enjoyed the Cappadocia tour! At the beginning I was a bit worried because this tours had some bad reviews. But honestly, I really don’t understand them. The guides were super friendly and never rushed us. My guide, Ehran, seems like a genuinely good person. He explained everything very well, always in a good mood, and at no moment did he push us to buy or do anything. To the people who say they saw very little: if someone wants to see Cappadocia in detail, they shouldn’t book a 2-day tour when the starting point is very far and a lot of time is spent on the bus. Who realistically thinks they will see everything in just a few hours there? For the time we had, I think we saw more than enough. Everything was beautiful and pleasant, and Ehran let us enjoy each place without rushing. For those who complain about the hotels: the tour costs around €30–40 for so many kilometers and long distances. It includes one night at a hotel with dinner and breakfast. Who expects a luxury hotel for that price? The hotel was good and more than enough for just one night. I’m very happy I chose this tour. Very well organized. Thank you!
Not Worth It!
This is not worth the time or money. We were picked up from our hotel by an air conditioned mini bus and after making other pickups at different hotels were taken to a Service Area to join the main coach. We had a 1 hour wait here - why? Neither the microphone nor air conditioning was working on the coach. Guide did not introduce himself or the driver. The driver was either on drugs or extremely ill - kept rubbing his chest and neck. Also his right leg was constantly shaking up and down or to and fro. His driving was also very erratic. When we returned to the coach after a quick visit to the underground city he was fast asleep and had to be woken. The guide never informed us about the lift at the lunch break restaurant and when we asked him why he just laughed. At the hotel my granddaughter and her friend were allocated a nice room up approx. 6 or 7 steps whereas my wife and I were given a room up approx. 14 steps. When I complained the guide told me I had booked a Cave Room. The invoice does not mention a "Cave Room" - it just states accommodation included. Upon returning to Alanya the guide informed us that we were on mini bus number 3. This then changed to mini bus number 4, and finally to mini bus number 5. This was another example of the poor organisation we experienced throughout this trip. On a good note the Fairy Chimneys are well worth a visit. Just not with these people.
Great Experience, Great team, great views! Must have Turkyie trip !
We took a trip from Alanya. Transport was 2 steps: first part with small bus to the changing point nearby Side, later we were moved to big bus. All event from that point was hosted by brilliant guide Ibrahim. He was well informed about history of Turkyie, not only all of the attractions on the way. There were no too difficult questions for him. All info he provided was uderstandable on different levels, both for youngsters and adults. All stories were lot of fun at the side, that's how history should be teached. It was 2 days trip, it's really important to have good guide during all this time, and our was beyond expectations. I really know what I'm writing about because during our stay in Turkyie we had almost all possible experiences from Alanya on Tripadvisor / Get your guide etc. This was the best ! At the end of the excursion one of the participants went very ill - she got sun stroke before the trip. Our guide provided her help to get to the hospital even that it was after the trip and it was not his responsibility. Great guy, we felt all of us were in 'good hands'. Driver was awesome as well. Driver's job was unfortunately harder than it should because on the way back-2nd day there were problems with bus, cooling system for the engine and AC started to malfunctioning. Driver had to improvise how to keep it working and keep on going. He not only made it, but evenmore he manged to keep the time schedule. It required huge skill from both of our guide and driver to keep all of it working even when a lot obstacles occured. Cold free of charge water helped us to stand it in good condition. However this bus, should go retirement already:). Excursion itself was magical and no word can describe it, if you can afford balloon flight you should just do it (you will thank me later). Ibrahim set our group a really nice price for the flight so it was worth not to look for it by yourself. We recommend totally to really on the guide with that. At our group were a few people who tried to organize flight by themselves, it was a mistake, they flight was canceled so they joined our group as well. Cave hotel was also very nice, it makes huge impression when you can have a nap into the mountain. Like literally inside! They have also great comfy beds, rooms are spacious and there is both AC and heating whatever you need they have. Summing up (TLDR): PERFECT GUIDE ! Amazing driver, extremely skilled pilot of the ballon! Great team and great experience, extremely mesmerizing experience. You'll love it!
Cappadocia
Our trip to Cappadocia was very successful: good bus driver, good guide, good hotel, excellent sights, exciting balloon ride. Sad only that the final leg on our return (after the change to the minibus) placed us at the mercy of an incompetent driver who had trouble finding several hotels (not ours, fortunately). At the end of a long bus ride, he wasted over an hour driving around looking for hotels.
Awesome trip
It was a fun filled day! The day was somewhat rushed but we still enjoyed it. The sunrise hot air balloon ride made everything so worth it! During the coach ride to Cappadocia, we also got to stop at different places and experience different cultures. The 1 night stay at a cave like room was also good, very dated inside but we got the feel it was going for! I would recommend definitely
