Pass by: This half day small-group tour begins by picking you up from your hotel or apartment. If your hotel/apartment is not accessable ( e.g pedestrian area), we will apoint a nearby location for picking you up.

Pass by: You will drive along coastal roads passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) and watching some amazing views of the Saronic Gulf as well as modern south suburbs of Athens .

A short stop for amazing photos at one of Athens most photographed location. Vouliagmeni lake is the result of a volcanic eraption which lies bellow sea level. A lake by the sea , certainly one of a kind!

After a 50 minute drive along the coastal road and driving through idyllic beaches and small villages, you will have your first stop at a nearby beach. Relax by the deep blue waters of the Aegean sea and enjoy refreshments, a beer or a light meal. Swimming is available at the beach as well, just remember to bring your swimsuits and beach towels Please note that the beach stop operates from early May to late October, depending on the weather and the specific date when the time changes between summer and winter time, and vice versa. You are welcome to use the public beach area and the public changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers at no cost. However, if you wish to use organized facilities such as sunbeds, umbrellas, etc., additional fees will apply, payable directly to the beach businesses that provide these services. Last stop will be at the location of a temple dedicated to the god of the sea, Poseidon. The host driver guide will provide you background information about the 5th century B.C. temple. Free time to watch the famous sunset if you choose to go for the sunset tour.

Worth it. Evening sunset...
Worth it. Evening sunset trip gave me the whole day to do things in Athens. Stop on the way was okay. Get out and walk around. Found great restaurant on Google Maps. Actual temple visit was great. Lots of people, but still got shot angles that worked. Does get you back at 10PM, so option to go out more or tiring enough to feel good about packing it in.

Don’t Miss the Temple of Poseidon tour!
What a great half-day excursion. The Temple of Poseidon is beautiful. We really enjoyed the drive by the sea and the stop for a bite and drink on the water. Our guide was very informative and friendly. We had a fabulous time.

Very nice tour guide but...
Very nice tour guide but next to impossible to hear her from the back of the bus. The seats on the bus were extremely thin. Overall very underwhelming.

Amazing drive and very...
Amazing drive and very relaxed environment. We started with a 15 minute drive to the sea then took some photos at a really cool lake. Drove another 30 minutes and stopped to take photos of the temple in the distance. Once we got close, we toured the temple of Poseidon for 1 hour. On the way back we stopped at the beach, and had a great lunch. Would do again if time permitted.
