Great trip to Memphis and Saqqara — no formal guide, just a driver, but he was genuinely helpful throughout!

Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, was fascinating to see — the statue of Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx were definite highlights. The site is small but full of history, and even without a guide it was easy to appreciate on our own. Saqqara was even more impressive than expected — the Step Pyramid of Djoser, one of the earliest stone structures in the world, was incredible to see up close. Much less crowded than Giza, so we could explore at our own pace without feeling rushed. Highlights: - Our driver was friendly and helpful — pointed things out, gave useful context, and made sure we didn't miss anything important - A relaxed, flexible pace since we weren't tied to a group or fixed guide schedule - The chance to go down into some of the tombs and see hieroglyphs and wall paintings up close The only downside was the midday heat — bring water and a hat. Overall, a smooth and well-organized day, even without an official guide. The driver's help made a real difference, and I'd definitely recommend this option for travelers who prefer a more independent experience.

I don't want you to show me souvenir shops that you don't want. Others are good.

They showed us around Suckerla, Dahshur and Memphis efficiently, which was very difficult to get to on our own, and the time was very good. However, it was completely unnecessary to be led to the local souvenir shop carpet shop, even though I didn't want to, because I was tired and not interested. This is a negative point.

Unforgettable great excursion!

The visit to the pyramids is wonderful, very few tourists compared to Giza. Our guide Karim has been very attentive, he has adapted to the needs of our group and has given us explanations in perfect Spanish, in addition to taking very cool photos of us! The driver was also super friendly and the vehicle was comfortable with good A/C. Highly recommended.

This was a great...

This was a great experience. Pickup was on time with no issues and communication was clear through the day. The driver was skilled and the guide went above and beyond with his knowledge of ancient Egypt as well as discussion of life in contemporary Egypt. We stopped at a carpet school in addition to the scheduled itinerary, but they weren’t pushy and I bought something because it was a good deal. Guide was very responsive to my desires about going inside pyramids, etc. This was a highlight of my visit to Egypt. Highly recommend.
