“The absolute best off roading that we have ever done! We have done off roading in many places (Aruba, Costa Rica, etc.) and this tour was by far the best. The course was a true Baja off road course and our tour guide, Raul, could be a professional racer! The view and scenery, especially along the beach, was stunning and the course was twice as long as the competition's. “I have taken the side-by side RZR tours before in Cabo, and the one run by Real Baja is bar far the best experience. Especially if you are lucky enough to get Alberto as your guide. He will go as fast as you want, take you around all the tight cornered trails on the beach, and even stop to show you the 200 year old HUGE cactus on a hidden trail in the desert. Disappointed-Hidden Costs
It is a lot more expensive than advertised by Viator. In addition to the $75 advertised cost, when you arrive, they charge you for individual ATV, insurance, park fees, and an additional 16% tax if you pay the additional fees with a credit card. The additional costs ranged from $127 - $193. The meeting location option that offered and confirmed pick up from cruise port, changed the night before the excursion with limited information. Although we eventually figured out the correct pick up location, it was stressful, despite asking for an address and receiving no response from Baja Tours and Viator. Once you get past the meeting location debacle and the increase in additional costs onsite, the actual ATV experience was enjoyable due to our guide Alberto. With our group of 11, we opted to have a private guide, which was Alberto. And yes, there was an additional $150 fee for the private guide. Bring lots of money and or a credit card to be prepared for the bait and switch. Last, the driver who picked us up was not friendly at all. During the 40 minute ride to the park, he never greeted us…no exaggeration. The same was true for the ride back to the pickup location. I rated this experience a 3-star because of Alberto. If I was to rate Alberto alone, he would be 5-stars.
