Búzios Trolley City Tour

The walk was even pleasant. The guide very kind. But the reception at the company was HORRIBLE! First they said they didn't work with the get your guide, then the driver said it was their yes and let us take the ride. When I returned, I was not allowed to leave the venue, because the “supervisor” wanted to talk to me, because they were doubting the authenticity of my voucher, since it had no value, embarrassing me in front of the other customers. When I showed the voucher, I wanted to know the website I bought, asking to see on my cell phone, all the time doubting about the acquisition. Then she decided to update the system and when my reservation appeared it was limited to saying “takes a while to update”. Bad experience. I do not recommend.

It was a nice tour to see the area. The English translation was acceptable. Though it was raining it was still a good experience

Started to get alerts on my phone about the tour the following day, however they were all in Portuguese. I realize I am not in an English speaking country, but I did sign up for an English tour. I replied I needed an English text. I finally had to use Google translate to realize that they gave me a time I did not sign up for. I replied back that my tour was supposed to be at noon. Replied in English (finally), that there was only a 9 am or 3 pm tour. Contacted Viator that I wanted a refund because I could not do those times and they told me they did not show any change on their end, but would contact the tour operator. The tour operator. then replied in a text that my tour was now at 12 noon. By this time it was pouring rain, and this was an open trolley tour, but we took the tender boat and attempted to find the address we were given. Unable to find anyone and being soaking wet, we headed back to the ship. I know I won't get a refund for this (no refunds for weather etc), but this was very poorly run, and honestly, does someone want a tour of your beaches in poring rain? A lot of effort and texting for nothing. I will look at other tour organizers before I use Viator again and will not recommend them

Our confirmed booking time was changed. Although an English speaking guide was specified we had a Portuguese guide who spoke no English. The condition of the trolley was not good. Seats were dirty, ripped and the exit gates were held together with Velcro. Not impressed at all.

Deceptive and not the truth! The tour operator sold the ticket for english speaking tour guide. The company lady greeted us and said yes english get on! Only portugese was spoken! We were trapped for 2 hours ruining the visit to Buzzios. In fact, there were a few electronic language bixes but the employee said the boss wont fix them. Now I spend my vacation time asking viator for a refund or getting my bank to stop payment. Disgusting! Shame on Viator for doing business with this company!
