Traveler reviews
Friendly and knowledgable guide for family trip, highly recommend
I booked the walk with Paul for my family's trip to the Burren. It was so worth it! Paul was very knowledgeable and such a great guide for our hike. His explanations of the history, plant and wildlife, archaeology, and geology of the area added so much to our experience. It was honestly my favorite part of our whole trip. I highly recommend hiring him to guide you on a walk!
A short but comprehensive guided tour of the Burren
Despite a howling gale and very heavy rain showers we were entranced throughout the guided walk by Paul's knowledge and enthusiasm for all aspects of the geology, human history and flora and fauna of the Burren. We can recommend Paul highly to anyone who has an interest in learning about the Burren.
The only way to discover The Burrren
I can’t recommend Paul from Kinvara Walks enough. He brought myself, my partner and our three kids (16-10 years) on a 3.5hrs walk through The Burren. He was so knowledgeable of all things about The Burren it’s plant life, history with some folklore thrown in for good measure. We could have wandered around ourselves but would never have experienced The Burren like we did with Paul. He knew everything, brought us to see some hidden treasures. He was great with the kids and even though we got drowned by the rain they along with us thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks a million Paul from Lorraine, Derek and the kids
Very interesting and informative (and a very pleasant hike)
We really enjoyed the hike. Paul was very knowledgable and although it was not peak flower season he as able to show us a lot. The geology of the burren is fascinating.
An absolute must do when in Kinvara
This is the most authentic and holistic Burren experience imaginable and included flora, fauna, geography, history, local knowledge and insight and above all, a whole lot of fun
