Traveler reviews
A great way to discover Argentine wine
This wine tour was a nice combination of walking around a charming neighborhood and learning about Argentine wine. Our guide Tomás was excellent. He was super friendly, and explained a lot about Argentina's wine regions, grape varieties, and wine culture. He made the tastings interesting without making them feel too technical, and was always happy to answer questions. The group was a lot of fun, and it was nice to meet other travelers along the way. The wines were excellent, and the snacks paired the tasting very good. I recommend to anyone interested in learning more about Argentine wine while enjoying a relaxed afternoon.
Wine lover felt ripped off for $135
The guide was professional and friendly. But this is ripoff. There are no hidden wineries, you are given some pepperoni , cheese and olives at the starting tasting room and then you are walked around the neighborhood with your dirty glass and taken to liquor stores to taste local wines, mostly Malbecs. It’s not worth $135. From the dirty glass I was handed at the beginning to the fact that 2 hrs was plenty, not three, I felt shortchanged. Don’t get me wrong, the guide was knowledgeable but you don’t get much food, and you taste some ok malbecs. Better to go to the liquor store across the street and learn on your own. Save your money…there is a reason no one else was on the tour.
