Local tour company transportation was a nightmare.

They switched pickup point from my Howard Johnson to another Howard Johnson with no vehicle traffic for 3 blocks. We had to take a taxi to get there and walk for over 2 blocks to get there. We got there at 845 for a 9am pickup. No one showed to pick us up. At 910 we started looking outside. There is no way to contact someone. Tickets sold by tripadvisor for viator for some third party tour company. No contact any level. At 935 there was a call on my phone but no one was there. I tried to call back 3 times a got a 3 word recording in Spanish and then would hang up. So we missed the tour. Texted trip advisor and they said somebody was there and called me at 935 by then we were 2 blocks away walking to get a taxi. No refunds. And they claim I put down the wrong hotel. They said they can not make changes less then 24 hours so they could not change to our hotel pickup for the tango show that night. So had to take another taxi home and then another taxi and walk 3 blocks back to the other Howard Johnson for the evening pick up. Got there 15 minutes early at 715. Waited, at 815, a man came up the stairs and confirmed it was us. He started down the stairs an I told him my wife can not walk on stairs and I pointed to the elevator and we went down one floor. When we came out of the elevator he was gone. We looked everywhere and asked the hotel clerk where he went, they said outside. I went outside. There was no one in sight. So we did not get burned a second time, we waited there. 6 minutes later he returned and walked us to his van. The van entrance was very high and my wife could not get in the van. He said he had no step stool so we had to set her on the steps and drag-scoot her into the van. When we got to the tango show, the show had a stool for her to get out. The Tango show was EXCELLENT. After the show they said they would take us back across town to the other hotel and then we would have to take a taxi back across town to our hotel, but tango show was by our Howard Johnson hotel and they would not let us off at our hotel. We had to take a taxi back to our hotel. Got the tango show but lost the money for the tour. Transportation was a nightmare that ruined the whole thing.

Excellent to start your visit in this beautiful city

This is the 3rd time I come to Buenos Aires and curiously I had never taken a guided tour, I decided to do it to refresh and orient myself a little, this part of the tour is for that, you do not explore any area in depth, it is just a screenshot. Pick up was punctual, the bus very comfortable. The guide I got was very punctual and passionate with everything I related. The stops were short, but enough to arouse curiosity to return to explore the points that have interested you. The pickup for the second part (Tango Show), was also very punctual on a bus just as comfortable. The location of Madero Tango has a spectacular view of Puerto Madero. The place itself is very elegant and the process of entering and accommodating on site to enjoy the show, quite efficient. Unfortunately the Dinner Service if you left much you want. The entrance was fine, the entree did not reach the right temperature and the expectation/reality ratio of the dish far removed from reality. I was touched to see how the other members of my table were also somewhat dissatisfied. What made up for this was the production of the show: spectacular, I enjoyed it every second. I'd come back to this place for the show, not the food. At least I didn’t spend that much, I saw it as an added value to the City tour. Not like other people who bought this dinner-show at a much higher price.

MADERO TANGO

A unique experience, great show house, the very good dinner, quality service, beyond the beautiful view to the port.

Our tour guide Mercedes was punctual...

Our tour guide Mercedes was punctual , very friendly and gave a good tour . Always enjoy visiting Laboca . Tour lasted longer than anticipated didn't feel rushed. Our guide even was able to exchange money for us at the current rate of exchange so that helped us in not having to find a cambio money exchange store. Tango show was very good. The show is down on the waterfront which has nice views. Food was good but needed help in trying to figure how the ordering process went . But the staff there was very accommodating. We have seen a few tango shows but this one was the best , dancing was tremendous and the show was like a Broadway show..

The city sightseeing was unfortunate...

The city sightseeing was unfortunate with too many participants and bad tour guideshe forced everyone to leave the bus in terrible chill and wind even I did not want to get off due to leg problem.
The Tango was too long, and the driver was nuts the way he drove.
