Wow!! We would have given this tour 6 stars if we could. Our tour guide, Dave, was so knowledgeable and spun the stories to weave Chicago's history so clearly for these East Coast visitors. Loved the mixture of interior and street landmarks. We learned so much and will be sure to recommend this tour to others. A true highlight activity of our visit to Chicago.
Molly was fun and besides AMAZING seafood, we visited historical sites and learned more about Boston’s rich history. She even made changes to the tour to avoid places that we had already been! We do food tours all over the world and this one is at the top of the list.
Ms. Ally, you were truly incredible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing your knowledge, your stories, and your passion with us. You made this experience unforgettable, and we’re so grateful for you.”

Highlight of our trip
Absolutely incredible tour!! The Behind the Scenes at the Historic Fish Pier tour was one of the highlights of our time in Boston. Our tour guide, Cie Peterson, was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable, so much fun, and seemed to know all the right people! We started at the historic Yankee Lobster Co., which had delicious food and great vibes. Easily the best clam chowder we had in the area! From there, we got to go behind the scenes at Red’s Best and see part of the journey seafood takes from the boats to processing. Everyone there was so nice and willing to answer our questions, and they even made us some incredible bluefin tuna sushi rolls! Along the way, we learned more about the history of the Fish Pier, the changing waterfront, and the development happening in Boston, including seeing where the new Fidelity building is located. It really gave us a better understanding of how much Boston has changed over the years while still maintaining such an important connection to the seafood industry. Our final food stop was James Hook & Co., and we highly recommend going while the original location is still there! Honestly, our only regret was not doing this tour on our first day in Boston. It gave us such a great sense of the city’s history, the importance seafood has played in Boston, and how much the area has changed over the years—all while eating some absolutely delicious food. Even after the tour was technically finished, Cie took extra time to give us recommendations and show us another really cool spot. That extra effort made the experience even more special. If we could take another tour with her, we absolutely would! Highly recommend this tour—especially early in your Boston trip!
