Stay away from City view tours
Buyer beware ..if you purchase a 2-day pass Not until you validate the ticket are you told It's one round trip ..this is only stated in their literature for the one day ticket. so you have to get off at every stop for each day ..once you get back to stop one ..you're done!!! So if you found the tour driver interesting and wanted to stay on for the whole route .. when you get to stop one ..you're done . Also you just can't start at any stop need to start at stop one. Operators comment" you won't find a satisfaction guarantee anyplace on our website" Not a truer word could be spoken !
Great tour guide
We originally got on one of the trolleys with an audio tour playing. But at stop 7 we got on with another tour guide, a lady who narrated while driving. I cannot remember her name but she was a Boston gal through and through. Very knowledgeable and witty. We had a great time and I just wish I could remember her name. Ask for the blonde lady with the Boston accent. You will not be disappointed. Go on a Sunday morning to a wood the crowds.

Top Notch — Entertaining and Exciting!
Our family of 7 had an absolute BLAST today on CityView’s trolley tour. The tour covers all the key spots in downtown Boston, the north end, the west end, beacon hill, and Charlestown — an endless series of historic and modern highlights. The best part was our tour guide, who was not merely informative and friendly, but hilarious and entertaining. The kids got to learn the historic basics and the neighborhood layout, while even those of us familiar with the city got to learn and see several deep cuts we hadn’t even known before! The hop offs and hop ons were super convenient for everything we wanted to see and if you’re lucky they’ll tell you downtown’s best kept parking secret! We will be back.
Huge disappointment
The ride did encompass many of the historical sights but there was limited pre-recorded narrative. The driver did far too much casual chit-chat that was offensive, corny, and with too much emphasis on Italian slang and stereotypes although he was Italian himself. He also drove off the prescribed course and ran into a fire hydrant. I am from the west coast and my friend is from Vermont and his performance did not present a professional positive image of Boston. I have been on many hop-on/hop-off tours that have been informative and professional. This driver did not present a good image of your company.
