Full description

Experience the stunning Amalfi Coast from the sea as you spend a day exploring the towns along this storied stretch of coastline. From the buzzing streets of Positano to refreshing lemon granitas to a peaceful boat ride through crystal clear water, you'll get to enjoy all the highlights of the coast during this mini-vacation from Rome.
Enjoy an incredible day of town-hopping and boat rides on the sparkling turquoise waters of the Amalfi Coast.

Step off the well-trodden tourist path on the Amalfi Coast and see it from a whole new perspective: the water. This Rome to Amalfi Coast tour gives you the best views of both the dramatic coastline and the beautiful towns of the Amalfi Coast, with a mix of land and sea travel. (Don't worry though—there's still plenty of time left for walking!)

Your day starts early in Rome where you'll meet your tour leader and small group of 18 people or fewer to board a private, air-conditioned bus to Sorrento and begin your day of sun, sea and sightseeing!

Your first stop is the picturesque town of Sorrento, where you’ll enjoy a typical Italian sweet, a lemon granita served in a lemon shell. Eat your granita as you take in beautiful coastal views. Sorrento’s timeless beauty and relaxed atmosphere are the perfect introduction to the Amalfi Coast.

After that, a ferry ride takes you along the stunning Amalfi Coast to Positano, where you'll pass tiny towns clinging to high cliffs, and see plenty of sights few non-locals ever get to see—so don't forget to take plenty of pictures!

After a short introduction from your guide with tips on all of Positano's best spots, you'll have free time to explore the town on your own. Renowned as one of the prime vacation spots for Hollywood stars, this small fishing village has something for everyone. Shop in the fashionable boutiques, enjoy a lunch bursting with fresh, local ingredients, and be sure to pack swimwear so you can take a quick dip in the rejuvenating waters.

At the end of the afternoon, you will board your private bus for a comfortable and scenic return trip along the coast back to Rome. With breathtaking views and delicious specialties, this Rome to Amalfi Coast tour is one of the best ways to discover three stunning coastal towns.

Please note: In the rare event of rough seas where it is impossible to travel by ferry, we will provide a private bus to take you up and down the coast so you won't miss a thing!

From November to March, the boats along the Amalfi Coast do not operate regularly. During this period, your exploration of the Amalfi Coast will be by bus to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
