Dip your toes in the sand at Punalu’u Black Sand Beach and scan the horizon for green sea turtles on the shore
Explore the wonders of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, including steam vents, the Halema’uma’u and Kilauea Iki crater lookouts, past lava flow sites, and take a short hike along crater rim trail and lava tube.

Excellent tour! Best way to see big island in one day !
It’s the best way to see big island ! Enough time to see great attractions around the island and just enough time in the volcanic park. Our driver and guide Kona Chris was amazing and believed in safety over speed. He told amazing stories with all the humor and never did we feel bored the whole trip. For all walks we had enough time to see , click pictures and walk back. He accommodated our request to stop at a food stand as well. Timely 11 hour tour best way to see all major attractions. He stopped on roadside to let us click double rainbow. Great with his safety instructions and what to expect at each place and what to do and what not to do ! The van was super comfortable and drinks, lunch and snack was perfect for a full day tour. Absolutely loved it - highly recommend the tour !
Great overview of what the Big Island has to.Offer
My Son-in-law and I went on this tour and really enjoyed ourselves. It is an 11 to 12 hour tour with varying weather. Dress appropriately with layers. Wear closed toe/heel shoes with good traction as you will be walking on rock, sand and a trail in a rain forest. We enjoyed learning about Hawaiian culture and experiencing the variety of daily climates possible on the Big Island in a single day. The food provided was good. This tour is strictly for those wishing to get an overview of what the Big Island has to offer and of its history. For those who wish to linger in one place for a lengthy period of time, this is not the tour for you.
Would book again
Wasabi tours has excellent service, vehicles, and great for solo, couples or families/groups. Our guide Mia was amazing! She was knowledgeable about the history and culture and gave excellent recommendations for highlights to follow up on after the tour. I would highly recommend this tour and guide.
Great overall view of the big island.
I had a great time on this full day tour of the big island of Hawaii. The price was reasonable for an all day tour of the island with a box meal, snacks & bathroom stops. Our guide, Henry, is native to the island & extremely knowledgeable and very willing to share this information. Additionally he was entertaining & personable. It was admittedly a long day (12 hr tour) but I felt it was a great overview of the big island. Highly recommend!
Lovely, lovely day with our guide, Henry!
We had a wonderful day with our guide, Henry! We learned so much about the history of Hawaii and snapped some beautiful pics. My only suggestion is to bring your own water and snacks as it is a very long day. We ate lunch at 10:30am and then provided some snacks later on, but I will say that I was hungry by the end of the day. Nothing against the tour company, of course, they did say we could bring whatever snacks and drinks we wanted. I’ll know next time!
