Full description

Experience the Tuscan capital's top attractions on a small-group walking tour through Florence. Begin with skip-the-line access to view Michelangelo's 'David' in the Accademia Gallery and the Duomo. Afterwards your guide takes you to Piazza della Signoria, an open-air art gallery where Michelangelo's David was originally supposed to stand. Then explore the streets of Florence, taking in landmarks like the Ponte Vecchio bridge, Palazzo della Signoria e Piazza della Repubblica.

See the best of Florence on an in-depth walking tour of the city's highlights. Don’t miss a single one of the Tuscan capital's best sights on this Florence walking tour, including the Ponte Vecchio, skip-the-line access to the Duomo, and many more unforgettable attractions. After starting off with skip-the-line access to Michelangelo’s David, you'll make the most of every second we have together as your expert local guide immerses you in the stories and facts that bring the city to life.

Save time waiting in line to see David with express entry to the Accademia Gallery. Your Florence walking tour starts with skip-the-line access to the Accademia. Once inside, your expert Walks guide will reveal the fascinating history of Michelangelo’s David, whose beauty and size have to be seen to be believed. You’ll also see Michelangelo's unfinished Slaves sculptures, which give unprecedented insight into the master's creative process.

Hear the unlikely story of how the cathedral's incredible dome came about on a skip-the-line Florence Duomo tour. Another highlight is Florence’s famous cathedral, the Duomo, where long entrance lines stretching through the piazza are a common sight. Luckily, you get to skip the line into the historic building, where your guide will tell you the improbable story of Filippo Brunelleschi and how this Renaissance man rediscovered knowledge lost for more than a millennium to build the cathedral’s world famous dome—one of the largest on earth.

As you leave the Duomo after visiting the ground floor with your guide, you’ll stop at the Baptistery. During a close look at the world-renowned Baptistery doors, dubbed the "Gates of Paradise" by Michelangelo himself, your guide will tell you the story of the cutthroat competition that created this glittering masterpiece.

Enjoy a Florence walking tour of the best piazzas, outdoor art and Ponte Vecchio Bridge.
Your Florence walking tour also includes a breezy city stroll past more of the highlights you can't leave without seeing. At the Piazza della Signoria, you’ll admire Florence’s other world-famous sight, the towering Palazzo Vecchio. Visit the original site of Michelangelo’s David, where an exact replica stands. Hear the stories behind the Leather Market, rub the Porcellino pig’s nose for good luck, and feel swept up by history at the Piazza della Repubblica—the Ancient Roman forum that later became the city’s Jewish ghetto. Top it all off by crossing the Ponte Vecchio, the most picturesque bridge in all of Florence—perhaps all of Italy.

By the end of your Florence walking tour, you won’t just have “seen” Florence’s most famous sights. You’ll have discovered their histories, stories, and what makes them so notable thanks to unbeatable insight from your friendly guide.

Instead of visiting Michelangelo's David, you'll enjoy an extended guided walking tour through Florence's historic centre, with skip-the-line entry to Florence Duomo/Cathedral still included. If you’re reading this, book it now! You’ll be one of the first on the boat and get the best spot before anyone else. Daniela (aka “Daniel”) treated us exceptionally well from start to finish. Her knowledge of the falls and the stories behind them was the perfect balance of informative and entertaining. She keeps you laughing throughout the tour and enjoys the experience right alongside you as if it were her first time seeing it. 10/10 — I would recommend this tour to anyone. As an added bonus, our group had only four people, which made the experience absolutely incredible and much more personal. Thanks again, Daniel! 😉
