Traveler reviews
Walk, talk & eat.
Great walk and talk through the city. The timing to eat was perfect. Nice to sit for an actual meal, rather than a few tastes at multiple places.
A Bit Lackluster
The guide was very nice, but I will have to say that I thought the tour was lackluster. I've been on food tours in Boston, Portland (OR), Portland (ME), and New York. Comparatively speaking, I was disappointed. I did appreciate the guide's knowledge of the area and his willingness to share interesting facts about Bar Harbor and its history.
We walked around Main Street and learned some of the town's history and sampled food in several places.
We really enjoyed our walking tour and were excited to learn some history of the area along the way. Our guide, Austin, was knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I had injured my foot right before the trip and he walked at a comfortable pace and it was easy to keep up with our small group. The lobster roll cafe was closed, but the alternate place was very good. The fudge and ice cream were delicious!
A Great Way to Get to Know Bar Harbor!
Austin was great! 👍 The tour was a lot of history, visiting a library and museum, with time at the end for a lobster roll and ice cream. A great way to spend a few hours in Bar Harbor.
Bar Harbor Food Tour
The tour was great! Austin was very knowledgeable and personable. He made the experience feel like a stroll with an old friend. The lobster roll was amazing! And I even grabbed a bottle of some very nice Amarena Cherry Balsamic to take home from a local oil and vinegar shop. Highly recommend taking this tour and grabbing some pineapple pimento sorbet on the way out.
