Berlin Shore Excursion: Top Attractions Private Tour from Warnemuende

We booked this tour when our cruise ship was docking in Warnemunde. They were at the port to pick us up at 6am for the 3hr drive to Berlin. In the city we met our guide, Tina, and I cannot recommend her enough. She was well-prepared for the tour and making sure we saw all of the sights. She adjusted her commentary based on what we were interested in and was extremely knowledgable. One of the best tour guides we have had. Definitely try and book with her! Our drivers were also amazing to and from the port and throughout the city. They got us everywhere we needed to be to maximize our time in the city. Definitely a great way to see and learn about Berlin!

I am writing to share a highly disappointing experience regarding our driver, Patryk, and our guide, Ariel, during our tour in Berlin. The issues began with our driver, Patryk. When we communicated over the phone beforehand, he was perfectly polite and helpful. However, his entire demeanor completely shifted the moment he saw my daughter and I in person. He did not speak a single word to us—not even a basic "hello"—during the entire 2.5-hour drive to Berlin, nor on the 2.5-hour drive back. It made for an extremely tense and uncomfortable five hours in the car. Furthermore, when we stopped to pick up our guide, Patryk abruptly got out of the car without a single word of explanation. Also, other Viator drivers would always pull up to where we were so I could minimize my steps. Despite being informed of my leg injury, Patryck made us walk to him, forcing me to walk unnecessary distances. Unfortunately, the tour itself with Ariel was not much better. Throughout most of the experience, Ariel almost exclusively directed his attention to my daughter, practically ignoring me and frequently leaving me out of the conversations. He was also entirely unaccommodating of my physical limitations. I explicitly informed Ariel about my leg injury and told him that I could not walk quickly and wanted to minimize my steps. Despite this, he frequently kept us standing on street for 10-15 minutes at a time instead of imparting the bulk of the information inside the van. Towards the end of the tour, I told him that both my daughter's and my legs and feet were getting really tired, but he completely disregarded our discomfort and proceeded to take us to another destination where we stood for 15 minutes while he shared information. Between the silent and uncomfortable 5-hour roundtrip drive, the blatant disregard for my physical limitations this was an unpleasant experience. I expected standard professionalism, basic accommodations, and common courtesy, like we received during other Viator tours, but unfortunately that was not the case. I cannot recommend this team.

Campbell was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge and interaction with the group were great. One of the best if not the best we have been on over the years.
