Tour participants will visit local political murals, peace walls, and will even have the opportunity to listen to an original song that tells the story of the turbulent times in the area. This tour will provide participants with a deep and unique understanding of the region's conflicts and peace contributions. Thought provoking

A very thought provoking tour especially putting in context the current geopolitical environment. Steve was so well paced and well informed giving lot of time to ponder and ask questions. Overall would suggest everyone to attend to contextualise the human cost of futile conflicts.

Excellent walking tour!

Brilliant! Steve is extremely knowledgeable about the complicated history of Northern Ireland, the region and the Troubles, he did an incredible job mixing hard history with a few personal stories that brought it to life. He provided facts and context fairly for all sides of the conflict, always asking open ended questions to really make you think about your own perspective. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a real understanding of Belfast’s history, not just a surface-level tour.

A delicate subject explained with grace

What a spectacular way to connect with the city, its spirit and its reconciliation with its long, complicated past. Steve, immediately friendly and warm, proved to be as knowledgeable a guide as one could hope for, one with first hand experience. Whether you’re familiar with the troubles, or just learning, Steve is able to sort out and explain what can be a confusing topic. I’ll be thinking on this tour for a long, long time. Highly recommended!

A great, detailed walk through history

Our guide Steve was incredibly knowledgeable, and wove the thread of personal experience and historical narrative deftly throughout the tour. The length of time and walking distance covered were very comfortable. His point of view was even and fair - and even though the subject matter was extremely sad, he found a way to present a hopeful future.
