Outstanding Experience
We booked this 2 hour tour thru the hotel concierge. Anyone who is interested in “The Troubles” this is a must see tour. Our guide “Paul” was extremely knowledgeable & recognized our interest with this piece of history. We learned so much from this outstanding tour….It is a must do tour when in Belfast. Thank you Paul for an exceptional experience.
Great experience
Wonderful, insightful, Joe was fantastic, knowledgeable, very friendly. Would highly recommend. Thank you very much.
Eye opening experience
We don’t normally give reviews however in the case of the tour by Paul, we have to comment. This is one of the BEST tours we have been on. Paul was gracious enough to show us the wall murals, explain the history of the conflicts, the background details that led to the challenges with respectful representation of both sides, and how today even these residual feelings are present in what the world knows as Northern Island and what some know as ‘The North’ or ‘North of Ireland’ - truly gives the perspective that there’s always another side, another view to consider. As a child - raised as a Catholic - who lived in England in the early 70s under Margaret Thatcher, there was definitely only one story - the English story - so this enlightenment of the civil war that occurred was most definitely worthwhile way, an education. Bravo Paul for bringing us to the remembrance gardens, which allowed us to understand the personal implications of living through the conflict. We will forever understand what ‘2 up 2 down’ means. And have a greater appreciation for those who lived the conflict daily. I recall hearing of an economist who advised - ‘power corrupts, ultimate power ultimately corrupts’. When Paul described the conflict, this quote was vividly recalled. Keep up the fantastic work Paul. And thank you!
A good education into a tender part of snow. Ireland’s history
