We heard Badaling was far from...

<p>We heard Badaling was far from Beijing and with a 2.5-yr old we just needed to be close by our hotel in case he gets tired. We ended up going to the Beijing zoo instead and it was great. We got there early with our tour guide Lisa and it wasn't as crowded even though it was a holiday and a Saturday. Seeing the pandas were awesome. It's a typical zoo except 10x bigger. We only got to see probably 1/4 of the zoo and watched the dolphin show and my son asked to go back to the hotel. We've seen enough that we don't think it was a waste.</p>
