I was looking for a private driver to take our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) on a 10 hour private day tour of Bali. After reading the reviews, I reached out to Smile Bali Tours via Whatsapp to get a quote. They responded quickly and with a reasonable price. Once I booked, I received a confirmation e-mail. There were two payment methods. The first was a direct bank transfer and the second was Cash on Arrival. I chose the second option. Weeks before the tour date, I communicated with them via WhatsApp on my desired itinerary. It was an ambitious itin but included Taman Ayun Temple, a luwak coffee plantation, lunch, the Jatiluwih rice terrace, and finishing at Tanah Lot temple. They accepted the itinerary with the warning that it is dependent on traffic but they would try their best. On the day before the tour, they reached out to confirm the pick up location and time. That was important to me as it assured me that they were reliable. Pick up was on time and the vehicle was comfortable for the 6 of us plus the driver. We were also very fortunate to get Adhi as our driver. He is usually a tour guide and not a private charter driver. Adhi was a wonderful driver and guide. He was a safe driver which is important in Bali as the traffic there can be crazy especially at intersections. As we drove, he was able to provide a lot of background of the area we were driving through and also teach us a bit about the culture of Bali. He was also able to provide an overview of each of the sights and what we should be looking for. Since he was not on tour guide duty, he did not accompany us at any of the sights. His English was very good and he has a great sense of humor. At each stop, he made sure we knew where we were, how to get to the attraction, and where we can be picked up when we are done. When we are done, we just have to message him via WhatsApp and he would magically show up quickly with the vehicle. It was very stress free. I would recommend Bali Smile Tours for a private driver charter. They are responsive and professional. If you are lucky, you get a tour guide like Adhi as a bonus. He made the entire day a delightful journey of beautiful sights and learning.

We had a lovely day with our guide Uncle Ketoot. Temples, waterfall, rice fields.. Thanks to our guide, we learned a lot about Balinese customs. It was very interesting. We recommend it.
