Bali Instagram Tour: Famous Spots

We booked the private Instagram tour and Agus was the highlight of our day. From the moment he picked us up, he was friendly, professional and genuinely proud to show us his island. We covered a lot of ground: the famous Gates of Heaven at Lempuyang Temple, the beautiful Tirta Gangga Water Palace built by the last King of Karangasem, the stunning Tukad Cepung Waterfall, the jungle swing and coffee plantation at Uma Pakel, and finally the Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Agus timed every stop perfectly so we never felt rushed, and he knew exactly where to stand for the best photos. He was happy to take as many shots as we wanted, and they turned out amazing. Agus went above and beyond all day. He made sure we always had water and stayed hydrated, kept a careful eye on our belongings at every stop, and at the end of the day he checked the car to make sure we hadn't left anything behind. Between that and his careful driving, we felt completely safe and comfortable the whole time. He also looks out for his guests' wallets. At Tukad Cepung, he suggested we hire sandals rather than buy a new pair we didn't need. A small thing, but it showed he cared more about us than about upselling. And he has a great sense of humour. At the coffee plantation, he introduced the famous kopi luwak as the "cat poo-ccino," and we couldn't stop laughing. It's still the line we keep repeating! What really set him apart was his local knowledge. He shared the history and culture behind each place, which turned a photo tour into a real insight into Balinese life. Honestly, Agus is the reason we're already planning our next Bali holiday, so we can book another tour with him and see more of the island through his eyes. My partner and I had a wonderful time touring around East Bali with our guide Agus!! Pick up time was early in the morning but flexible and Agus was on time, Agus was very welcoming and knowledgable, and we were not rushed through any of the places. Agus was happy to answer lots of random questions about Bali and we had a good chat as we drove around. Apart from the stops on the tour, it was enjoyable to look at the views and see the different villages in between. We paid for the food upgrade and it was well worth it. The restaurant we ate at had fantastic service, the view was scenic and the food was delicious. I have lots of food sensitivities and they were able to accommodate them. My two highlights were the waterfall and the rice terraces!

We had such an amazing trip today with our guide APRIO! Everything was perfectly organized, we saw so many beautiful places, and the whole experience was super enjoyable and relaxed.
