Wat Phu Khao Thong is an iconic monastery built in 1395, located northwest of Ayutthaya. It underwent multiple modifications in 1569, 1587 and finally rebuilt in 1744, the design of which can still be seen today. The monastery complex includes an active temple built on ancient ruins and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area from its elevated base.
