Itinerary
Meet your guide at River City Bangkok
Around noon time you will transfer to the pier by Pasak River and cruise along Pasak River to meet Chaophraya River while enjoying an international buffet lunch. On the way you will cruise pass a Royal Monastery a Church and a Mosque. Once an important center of global diplomacy and commerce, Ayutthaya is now an archaeological site, characterized by the remains of tall prang (reliquary towers) and Buddhist monasteries of monumental proportions, which give an idea of the city’s past size and the splendor of its architecture.
Then, visit Wat Mahathat Ayutthaya. One of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya, it once housed the Buddha's holy relic. Admire the famous Buddha head entwined within the roots of a Bodhi tree.
Your next stop is Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, being part of the royal palace complex this is where royalty performed rituals. It is considered the most important temple of Ayutthaya.
Visit Viharn Pra Mongkolborpit, situated on the south of Wat Prasrisanpetch and is where the bronze Buddha image in the style of subduing Mara is situated. This Buddha image has a lap measurement at 9.55 metres and height at 12.45 meters. This is one of the biggest Buddha image in Thailand.
Travel from Bangkok in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to your first stop in Ayutthaya, Wat Lokayasutha. This incredible temple is known for its giant reclining Buddha image, astoundingly one of the few structures left intact here.

Traveler reviews
Excellent
Informative and Educational and Boy our tour guide was very helpful and full of knowledge
Great walk, well complete and with good structure
Very good tour, complete, with good infrastructure. The guide Mindy always friendly, explaining everything, in addition to very available to clarify doubts. The lunch at the end of the tour was great, with a good variety of meals and in an air-conditioned place.
Great tour !
Great tour ! It was a very relaxed tour .. we chose to get the one way hotel transfer . We were picked up by taxi and transferred to the river city location.. given stickers so we knew which group we’d be in for the day. As we waited for other travellers to join we were able to grab brekky/snacks. Then off we went in an A/C coach .. our group was about 13 which was great cos there was so much room to spread out. We went straight to the ruins and went to 3 locations .. we had plenty of time to explore and our lovely guide gave us facts about each stop. Our guide Paisam (sorry I spelt his name wrong) but he was so knowledgeable and friendly!! Such a great person .. any questions he was happy to answer .. After seeing the temple ruins + Buddha we went on a cruise back towards the city. We had a beautiful lunch / tea and coffee ! Lunch consisted of a mixed buffet of Thai and western food .. staff were friendly. Once we made it to port we were all transferred back to the starting point at River city. Transfer back to your hotel is not included however it’s very easy to catch a tuktuk or grab Would definitely recommend this tour esp. cos of Paisam!! **NOTE - we made a stop at one of the temples and had to use the bathroom. They don’t charge entry but ask for a donation BUT there’s no toilet paper. They charge 10THB for toilet paper so take your own. After we made our donation to go bathroom we found out after the fact, toilet paper is extra . 10THB is like 0.47cent AUD so it’s cheap but we had no small change as we gave the only cash change we had as donation. So I’d recommend to bring your own toilet paper OR make sure u have cash on hand.
Temples tour
Wow, what an amazing day! Uncle Sam was a great guide and we saw some brilliantly interesting temples - so much history in such a short time. Buffet lunch in the middle of a great day and loads of drinks - which was much needed as it was hot!!!
Informative
Relaxing and enjoyable. Lots to see and learn. Buffet lunch was great. The cruise down the Choa Phraya River was very relaxing.
