With private access to a professional kitchen in the seaside Gros neighborhood, you’ll learn the basics of regional cooking from a professional chef, who will guide you through preparing beloved Basque recipes. In just two and a half hours, we'll take you behind the scenes and into the heart of the local food scene, where you'll learn the recipes and techniques that make Basque cuisine one of the world's most cherished gastronomic traditions. 

Meet your host and small group in Gros, a seaside neighborhood where residents actually eat, gather, and unwind. Then head straight to a professional cooking space to get started. We'll cook and learn in their actual kitchen, which has been opened just for our group. A professional chef will guide you through preparing beloved Basque dishes, offering advice and techniques that can benefit both beginner and advanced cooks.    

Cook up a storm during the next two and a half hours, making your own Gilda pintxos, classic Spanish potato omelet, and the renowned burnt Basque cheesecake for dessert. As the chef demonstrates the methods behind each dish, they will provide insight into the rich history behind the recipes, helping you better appreciate every bite.    

Relish your culinary creations while sipping on a selection of carefully paired drinks, including Basque cider (which you'll learn to pour yourself!), red wine, and white wine.
