Traveler reviews
Great music in a variety...
Great music in a variety of venues. It was very convenient to be shuttled to the locations vs concerns about driving. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the music scene in Austin. An all together great experience!
Fun night in Austin!
Fun night out! Felt like we got to see some of the real Austin nightlife and great local bands! Doubt we would of found this all on our own. Was also nice to be driven from bar to bar and have a local guide hangout with us at each stop. Highly recommend! Loved our guide Luke and driver Joey, fun guys!
Loved it
We had such a fun time on the live music crawl! Came with 3 friends for a bachelorette trip and really enjoyed it. Saw 3 great bands at 3 different music venues around the city. Highly recommend if you want to see and hear some great music. Ike was a great tour guide!
Great tour! Great guides! Great music! Great venues!
Ike, our guide is one of the nicest people on this planet!, and Brent our driver made certain we arrived safely to the three destinations and back to our meeting place without incident. Ike provided insight into the Austin music scene by giving us the history of the venues that we saw the three music acts at along with providing background information about the artists themselves. Three unique places, with music genres that were pleasantly unexpected (Afro-Jazz) , and country music at the other venues…One singer songwriter act at a great honky-tonk and a hard hitting country rock band the our last venue. Ike escorted us in and out of all the venues, paid our cover charges, provided us useful information about where to stand, sit, get food, get air and where the bars and bathrooms were. All of us on this tour were treated with respect and Ike made it easy for all of us to feel at ease and comfortable. We were able to interact with Ike and Brent along with each other during our travel time to and from each club, making this tour a seamless, enjoyable, and memorable experience.
Great way to sample variety Austin offers
So glad we signed up for this tour. While in town for a conference, hubs and I wanted to experience the music scene but were unsure where to go. This tour gave us a good variety, while also explaining other venues we might consider with our limited time. Jaqs (our guide) and Kelty (the driver) did a great job keeping us all engaged and explaining not only the venue, but history and facts of the neighborhoods we visited. Our first stop was The Continental, where we listened to Rock (I'd consider it Alternative rock), which took me back to my 20's. Then we traveled across town to The Sahara for Afrobeats. I never would have looked for a venue like this, but it was our favorite spot! Finally, we ended at C-Boys for some Americana/Country. Although my husband and my music taste differs (I enjoyed all three venues) it was still a fun time at each spot. I would do this again if we're here and recommend this especially if you have limited time in town.
