Great experience visiting the salt mine

The driver picked up us on time and was very friendly. The van was comfortable and we made it to the salt mines without any issues. The salt mine is worth visiting, just remember there is a lot of walking.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour

I booked this trip last minute through the Headout app as everywhere else was sold out. I was a bit sceptical at first as I’d never heard / used the app before. A couple days before the booked trip, I received a message from Legendary Kraków which provided pickup time and meet up point, which was very useful. I also received a message on WhatsApp from our driver for the day the night before. He confirmed the location and pickup time. Our driver Jordan was extremely friendly and chatty, he was very happy to provide information where he could and helped to make the experience much better. He is a credit to Legendary Krakow and you can tell he loves what he does. The trip was very organised and well planned and the guided tour was very Informative. I highly recommend Legendary Krakow and Jordan. Thanks for a great trip.

Salt mines

We had a lovely trip to the salt mines today. The actual experience took around 2.5 hours with a half an hour trip there and back from Krakow old town. We had a lovely driver Grzegorz who had great knowledge of the trip a great sense of humour too. At the Salt mines, we had a lovely tour guide who was again very knowledgeable, we had headphones to listen to what she was explaining and this was very good for us to hear from the back of the group. I believe there were 33 of us in the group and we had time to take pictures and a couple of breaks in between to go to the toilet or there was also the option to get food and drinks too.

Unreliable, trip cancelled on morning with no notice, still awaiting refund - AVOID

We booked an Auschwitz tour through TripAdvisor and the experience was completely unacceptable. On the morning of the tour, we were up at 6am, checked out of our hotel, and waiting for the bus as instructed—only for nothing to show up. We had to chase them ourselves to find out the tour had been cancelled. No notice, no explanation, no accountability. Still awaiting refund as they were quick to take our money, but not so quick to return it. Because of this, we didn’t get to visit Auschwitz at all, which was a major reason for our trip. This is the second tour during our trip to be cancelled at the last minute, and it’s clear these operators are overselling and then cancelling, leaving customers to deal with the fallout. Avoid if you expect basic communication or reliability.

Disappointed with our guide.

There was some confusion around our pick-up venue, which was clarified quite late. This inevitably created some anxiety for us. Our group was far too large to gain the best from our two part excursion. Our guide was very softly spoken and didn't quite hit the mark for such a large group, in our opinion. He was particularly difficult to hear, and it was tricky to see everything inside with our group being so large. Being the Easter weekend, it was extremely busy, which was expected yet to be afforded a guide who was more engaging would have been more appropriate. We were quite disappointed.
